Affirmation
I speak peace, I speak healing.
Spiritual Teaching
A sage wandered the countryside and, passing near a village, a woman approached him. She implored him to help a sick child nearby.
The sage went to the village. A crowd gathered about him. The sick child was brought to him, and the sage prayed for the child.
A man yelled out, “Do you truly think your prayer will help her, after all medical help failed?!” The sage yelled back, “You are ignorant of these things! You are a stupid food!”
The man became irate. His face grew red. He was about to say something, or perhaps try to run and hurt the sage, when the latter walked to him and spoke, “If one word has such power as to make you irate, may not another have the power to heal?”
The sage healed two persons that day. He healed the child; he healed the doubting man.

Jesus Christ is called the Word, the Logos. We connect with the Power of the same Life-Force when we speak well-chosen, wise words. Our words can flow with the same energy as the Logos is and manifests, being applied by the intimate Holy Spirit to persons, and ministering to them as the Inner Christ longs to help and heal.
Likewise, we can minister to ourselves through words of the Word; that is, words participating in the Truth of Love, Joy, and Peace. We can do this through meditation, as we close our eyes and speak blessings into our lives, inwardly and outwardly. Another form of this blessing word is prayer. We need not underestimate the power of prayers used by others; we can speak them inwardly, or out loud. Likewise, hymns is a form of words of the Word. Of course, a well-chosen mantra, or prayer word or prayer phrase, is effective in introducing the powerful Word into our total being.

Today, consciously use your voice – in verbal and written form – to bring blessings and healing to persons.
